Hello, dear friends,  I hope this newsletter finds you well and working on an new project or keeping your new year's resolution to finish the old projects before you begin the new.

I wanted to update you on what I have been doing.  I still have not found a new location to re-open the quilt shop yet.  I had inquired about a possible rental, but the lady who owns the building wants to sell the building.  I am just not interested in purchasing a building at this stage of the game.  So I shall keep looking for that right spot.  And I keep re-thinking and perhaps re-inventing myself and my quilt shop.

Janet Henshawe

Janet will be in Waynesburg on Tuesday, March 8 at 11.  We will once again meet at Dunkin Donut!  Again this business has been gracious to allow us to meet there.  I shall buy the donuts and you can buy your own beverage.  Karen and I will be there also to see your quilts.

Let's see what is going on with the Pine Tree....

I have not cancelled any of my fabric orders and new fabric and patterns and notions are arriving at the house.  Next week I will have pictures of the some of the new fabric that will be available to you.  I will also have a list of the new supplies I am ordering.  Do you need anything special?  Let me know through my email address (ljanejo@windstream.net) and I will order for you.

Save the Date

I will be a vendor at the Three Rivers Quilters 2022 Quilt Show.  This year's theme is "Bargello".  Here are the details.

Friday,  April 8   10 - 7
Saturday, April 9   10 - 4

Admission is $ 10.00 / Multi-Day is $12.00

The show returns to the Hollywood Casino at the Meadows Racetrack

For more information visit their web-site at www.threeriversquilters.org

Sit and Sew

I am also going to schedule a "Sit and Sew" so that we may come together and share what we have been doing.  I know that I have been scheduling most of them on Saturday, but I may pick a different day.  We'll see.  (This is what my mother would say to me when I asked for something. LOL)

Gift Certificates

Some of you have gift certificates through the shop.  I am planning to mail you a check in the next 2 weeks refunding your money for the gift certificate.  If you want me to keep your gift certificate account open, just let me know by emailing me at ljanejo@windstream.net.  If I do not hear from you, I shall refund your money.

PDF Patterns

Just before the fire, I began ordering PDF patterns that I could download.  The main reason I did this was to determine whether to buy the pattern for the shop.  I could read the directions, select fabric that could be used and get a sample made before I invested the money in the pattern.  Well, I must say that I am now addicted to ordering the PDF patterns.  Each week I shall share some information of the sites I have visited and the patterns I have ordered.

This week I will highlight Cozy Quilts.  If you are a fan of Jordan Fabrics, you will know that Donna Jordan will use this company.  You can order the printed pattern from their web-site, but most of the patterns are available by PDF.

Here is what I do:
Go to the web-site www.cozyquilt.com
There you will find a section that says "Digital".
If you don't find anything you like there you can look at the other patterns and order a PDF version of that pattern.
Last week I purchased the PDF version of "Three Layer Cake".  All I had to do was type in PDF Please in the Special Instruction section.  When you do this the shipping and tax will be removed from your order and you will receive an email confirmation of your order.  As easy as that.  I hope to begin working on this pattern soon because I think it will make a great class!

Newsletter

Make sure you check your email next Monday, March 14 for my Newsletter.  I will be posting the new fabric and the new Northcott Quilt Along.  I am really excited about this.  You can join Karen and me as we work on this quilt!

I continue to receive cards, emails, phone calls and texts from you.  Please know that hearing from you means the world to me.

Tess is doing well.

Have a "Sew-Sew" week.

Love, Linda
