News from the Pine Tree

Pine Tree Quilt Shop, LLC

Good Morning, Friends

I want to thank you so much for the emails I received after last week's newsletter.  I have also received some beautiful cards and kind words.  I am grateful to hear that we remain in your thoughts and prayers.

I would especially like to thank the the guilds and members of the guilds who have either called, texted, emailed or sent cards expressing their sadness at the loss of my shop.  All of my fabrics reps have reached out and are working closely with me and the company.  The president of Jaftex that includes Blank Quilting, Free Spirit, etc. contacted my rep and said the company would help in any way.

I special thank you to Mary Beth from Quilters Corners in Finleyville and Donna from Sew Special in Uniontown who have called and emailed with offers to help.  This means so much to me as a shop owner.

Let me tell you where we are now.  I am still dealing with the itemized list for the insurance company.  Thankfully with the computer system I have been using, the fabric, patterns, books, etc were all recorded and all I had to do was a print-out.  Now the task of remembering what I had in fixtures.  So sad when I thought of my wonderful cutting table and then I thought of the little kitchen table and chairs that mom had bought for me when I opened and THEN MY DIRECTOR'S CHAIR that James gave me after I worked on the movie!  Oh, and don't let me forget Tessie's water bowl that she would pick up and drop so Karen would know she wanted a drink of water!

Some have asked if we could not wash some of the fabric and the answer is no.  The smoke and water damage is now too much to overcome.  I would also think that mold and mildew have set in by this time.

No decision has been made whether I will re-open at this time.  I am leaving all options open.

Now Let's See How We Can Carry On....

Janet Langley

Janet will make her scheduled pick up and drop off this Tuesday, February 8 at 11 at..... DUNKIN DONUTS in Waynesburg.  Stop by!  Karen and I will be there so we can see you.  I will have donuts for you!

I want to provide this service of meeting with Janet for as long and I can.  The manager of Dunkin was so very nice when I asked her if we could meet there, so let's support them.

OK I will post a little newsletter next week too.

Have a "Sew-Sew" Day

Linda

PS  Some new fabric was delivered to my home last week!  I will let you know next week what it is.
