Good Monday Morning????  I heard this one time and I shall share with you...When you awaken in the morning do you say, "Good Morning, God!" or do you say "Good God, it's morning!"  Makes you think, doesn't it?  And truthfully I have said them both.  It looks like we may have rain later today.

Saturday's Carpenter's Wheel

I want to tell you what a wonderful time Karen and I had at the Carpenter's Wheel Class on Saturday.  We laughed, we talked, we ate and we got some sewing done.  My WV friends met my PA friends.  We did not get as much done as I had thought, but everyone left knowing what they needed to do.  The center of my Carpenter's Wheel is complete and now I am going to see what I want to do for the borders as I did not like the suggested border.

Janet Henshawe

Check your calendar's as Janet will only be at the shop 2 more times in 2021.  What!!!  She will be here Tuesday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 14 from 11 am to noon.  She is working to get quilted the things you need for Christmas and now cannot promise anything until the first of the year.

Jeff's Sewing Station

Jeff will be at the shop to pick-up/ deliver machines on Friday, November 5 and Friday, November 19.  Remember to bring in your machines before the scheduled Friday pick-up day.  I shall check with Jeff to see if his December schedule is going to change.

New Classes and Quilt Along's Coming!

Watch for future newsletters for details about new classes from Jaftex patterns and the Quilt Along from Northcott.  Some really exciting projects!

Christmas Shopping!

I had a customer give me this great idea.  Visit the Pine Tree Quilt Shop during November and complete a "Wish List" of things you might like for Christmas.  Then give a copy of your wish list to your husband, children, family and/or friends.  I shall schedule a couple of special days in December for them to come in and do your shopping and we will even gift wrap for you!

So get to thinking...do you need a new ruler, a new cutting mat, rotary cutter, blades, a bundle of fat quarters, or a gift certificate?  We have all of these or I can order them for you.  Remember with the gift certificates over $50.00 I add 10% to that total.

Kaffe Krazy!
I hate to misspell!  I am going out of my comfort zone and ordering some fabric that you would not expect me to order and I am surprising myself how much I love the fabric.  Last week I received 6 bolts of Kaffe Fassett fabric from Free Spirit.  His bold, beautiful prints can be used in quilts, totes, pillows, etc.  You may have to take a step out of your comfort zone too.  These will be great for patterns that showcase large squares.

Let's look at what came in.

$11.99 per yard

What are you going to work on this week?
I have a new paper pieced pattern I am going to try.  It is called "Christmas Angel, Too" and was designed by Sue Cook for Larkspur Lane Design.  Sue is my new Jaftex rep and a pattern designer.  This will make a paper pieced wall quilt that is 17" X 19".  Let you know more next Monday.

OK I am off to the drug store and the grocery store.

Just one more thing... Tess gets her teeth cleaned on Wednesday so say a little prayer for Dr. Behm and Tess.

Have a "Sew-Sew" Week, my friends.
