Good morning,  What a beautiful weekend we had!  I am wondering if we are going to have a colorful fall.  The leaves on some of my trees seem to be turning brown and falling off!

I really only have a couple of things to tell you this week so let's get started...

Jeff's Sewing Station

Jeff will be at the quilt shop this Friday, October 1!  You know the drill by now--have your machine to the shop by Thursday, September 30.

Quilt Show

We are getting ready to attend the Beaver Valley Piecemaker's Quilt Show!  We are getting different kits ready and deciding what I want to take.  Here are the details of the show.

Dates and Time
Thursday, October 7       Hours:   10-5
Friday, October 8     Hours:   10-5
Saturday, October 9     Hours:   10-3

Place

The quilt show will beheld at the Chippewa United Methodist Church Community Center, 118 McMillen Ave., Beaver Falls, PA   15010

I have seen pictures of this community center and it looks like it is a very nice site.  One of my customers told me that this is a nice show.

I Googled the directions and this is what I found.  The drive will take you about 1hour 20 minutes from Waynesburg and is approximately 80 miles.  The drive looks pretty straight forward:  Follow I-79 N and I-376 W to PA - 51 N in Chippewa Township.  Exit from I-376 W.  Continue on PA-51N and you will be about 4 minutes from your destination.  It seems that all the driving will be on Interstate.  Double check these directions.

Lunch is available on-site.

Hope to see you there.

Carpenter's Wheel Class

I hope you will join me on Saturday, October 23 at Rogersville UM Fellowship Hall to work on this Carpenter's Wheel quilt.  The finished size of the quilt is 72 x 86.  My quilt top should be finished by the end of the week (if everything goes as I plan).  We will be working in a different way on this top as it is constructed in quarters and then the quarters are sewn together.  My friend Diane F. said she had sewn a quilt by quarters and she really liked it.

Here is what you will need:
1/2 yard pieces of 6 fabrics
2 1/2 yards of background
1 yard of border
2/3 yarding binding

Class fee:   $15.00 (this will be given to my church)

Time:  10-3

This is a beginner friendly quilt pattern and I am sure that you could make this quilt on your own, but you can join us and have 5 hours of uninterrupted sewing!

You may register and pay for the class on-line or you may drop by the shop to register.

15% off class fabrics and supplies.

OK I am finished.  No, there are no pictures today!

I thought I would leave you with this today.
