Good Monday morning, I hope you had a great weekend.  Tess and I sure did with a little bit of stitching, some reading and some napping.  Now we are ready to take on the week.  Let's see what is happening and the shop this week!

Memorial Day Sale

Beginning on Tuesday, May 25 and running through Saturday, May 29 all of my patriotic fabric will be on sale for 15% off.  This does not include all red, white and blue fabric, but I do have an nice assortment of patriotic prints and just received 4 new bolts last week.  Karen has made a table runner with some of this fabric and Tuesday I plan to make an apron with some of the fabric.  Stop in to see our samples.  Remember what you make for Memorial Day will carry through to the 4th of July weekend.

Secret Saturday

I have been having so much fun with "Secret Saturday" on Facebook and I am so pleased that so many of you are joining me on that day.  The first week you watched and commented on my apron project.  This week even more of you watched the napkin project and shared your guesses.  Our friend Chrystal R. won the Halloween fat quarters for being the first to guess the project.

This week I am going to mix it up a bit and share the steps to a free pattern that uses 10" squares.  There will be no guessing, but if you respond in the comment section your name will be entered in for a drawing at the end of the demo.

If you Google Pine Tree Quilt Shop, Waynesburg, PA Facebook you can then click on that and see the demo.  For those who are friends of either the Pine Tree Quilt Shop or friends on my personal page Linda Jane Jones should receive the demo beginning about 10 on Saturday morning.

I just want to make one comment about the apron I made the Saturday before last.  On the next one I make I am going to use D rings for the neck strap so that it can be easily adjusted.  The way it is now the strap is too long and you would have to tie a knot in the strap for the apron to fit properly.  This apron could be made for a man by simply leaving off the accent at the neckline and adding to the length.  I have to admit that after I made the one with the cats I cannot wait to make a patriotic one, or a Christmas apron, how about that new glow in the dark Halloween fabric...HELP I can't get off the apron merry-go-round.

New Fabric

Halloween GLOW IN THE DARK

I love this new Halloween fabric.  This week I made a 10 -Minute Table Runner with the spiders and plaid fabric, but wouldn't this fabric make fun pillowcases!  There is also a panel.

Cross - Stitch

I have finished the stitching on two (2) of Lori Holt's cross stitch patterns and I shall be completing the projects this week. You will be able to see the complete projects next week at the shop.
