Good Monday Morning/Afternoon/Evening!!
A good week at the quilt shop. Jeff picked up about 6 machines for a "spa day"; remember he will be back on Friday, January 22, but I will remind you of that.
Tomorrow, Tuesday, January 12 Janet will be at the shop from 11-12 to pick up quilts or deliver quilts. On her Facebook posting this morning she said that she is now accepting quilts again.
Free Pattern and Contest
So many of you inquired about the free pattern. I have yet to learn about the website and how to do some things like posting a free pattern so you can download from the website. I will learn how to do that by next month. Well, maybe I will learn by next month. LOL Of course, I would love for you to come in the shop to get the pattern, but I also know that that may not be easy for some of you. Here is what I can do...Contact me at the email address at the top of the newsletter and then I shall attach the pattern and the contest rules in a reply to the email. Now, don't forget about the contest!
Bargain Bathroom
Remember the new addition to the Bargain Bathroom... Flat Folds for $4.99. Some of the ladies took advantage of that this week! I shall continue to add more flat folds each week. Some of these pieces have enough fabric in them to use as backing with 5 or more yards in them.

Mystery Quilt!
I am still working on the Mystery Quilt directions! Here is a hint! You will need five (5) fabrics for this project--a focus fabric, a background, and three (3) fabrics that you can draw from the focus. Karen and I have been putting some combinations together for you to see.
I just want to take a little of your time to reflect on the events in our country last week. I graduated college with a double major in English and social studies and when I was first hired at West Greene I did teach social studies. Many of you know that I read books about history and probably watch too much news. So on Wednesday and Thursday I was on news overload and it got the best of me by Friday. So then I turned to those things that bring me peace and joy. I returned to my daily devotional and prayers and I journaled. I turned to my quilting, piecing and my cross-stitching. Now my friends, this is not a political statement at all. It is my way of saying that you must take care of yourself and do the things you love to do.
