News From The Pine Tree

News from The Pine Tree

Week of December 14-19

Good Monday Morning!

Are you finished with your Christmas shopping, decorating and baking?  Me either!

I want to thank so many of you who reached out with cards and texts after last week's newsletter with your prayers and well wishes. I am doing well except I tire easily and still have no smell or taste.  Tess and I look forward to our afternoon naps!

The shop will be open this week from 10-3 Tuesday through Saturday.  Again you are welcome to come in, but I continue to require you wear a mask and we shall social distance.  I also continue to fill orders through the web-site.  I will be happy to mail your fabric or you may pick up your purchase curbside at the shop.

GIFT CERTIFICATES

Gift Certificates are available!  As I have in the past, I will add an additional 10% to your gift certificate.  For example, if you purchase a certificate for $50.00 you will receive credit for $55.00.

Last week I told you about the Kimberbell machine embroidery mug rugs.  Today I plan to work on a couple more of these.  I shall post my results on Facebook tomorrow morning.

WHAT IS NEW!

Last week I received Tula Pink's Linework.  I am not sure why I have been dragging my feet on purchasing Tula Pink's fabric, but now that I have I will be adding more as I can.  Linework is a great black and white designed fabric with a "pop" of color.  I selected the pattern "Craftsman" for Karen to make with this line of fabric.  The blocks were made last week. She was going to put the rows together this weekend and add the borders on Tuesday.  Make sure you stop in and see this easy to sew quilt.

Linework

This is what I have available in Linework.  I have ordered 10" squares too but this is on backorder.

"Lemur Me Alone"   I love this one!  Yardage available

Fat Quarter Bundle.  This is what we used for the quilt.  I have two bundles available.

This is a fun stripe called Foxglove from Tula Pink.  This will make a fun binding to Karen's quilt when we cut it on the bias.  Yardage available

Now for the pattern.  "Craftsman" has instructions for 2 sizes (crib and throw) but you can certainly make it bigger.  It is a great pattern for fat quarters + yardage.  I need a baby quilt in March and I know exactly the fat quarters I will use in this quilt.

WHAT'S COMING!

I should be receiving this week from Riley Blake Fabrics--"Rose and Violet's Garden.  This is a very pretty floral pattern.  I have ordered a panel, 10" squares, and 3 bolts of fabric.  And yes, I already have a free Riley Blake pattern in mind for this fabric.  I may just wait until the new year to show you this one.

Enjoy your week and I will send you a newsletter next Monday!
