Holly Jolly Snowmen

News from the Pine Tree

Monday, July 22, 2019

Happy Monday!

I want to take the time to thank all of you who came to the shop on Friday, July 12 and Saturday, July 13 for the $5.00 a yard sale.  You got some great bargains and helped me make room for some of the beautiful new fabrics we have been getting in.  We have been getting the shop in order so you can now see the new fabric.

Good News!

Some of you have been waiting patiently to get the Stonehenge Solstice Block Party Kit.  Well, the wait is over.  I finally received my back ordered fabric for the kit.  By the time you receive this email, the kits will be available on-line and at the shop.  I really apologize for this delay, but according to my Northcott rep., Northcott was not ready for the popularity of this event and fabric could not be printed fast enough.

New Fabric

Today I want to share with you a new Christmas fabric and free pattern for a project Karen made from the fabric.  The fabric is Holly Jolly Christmas by Sharla Fults for Studio E.  From this line I selected the panel fabric, an overall snowman print and an overall Christmas tree print.

Black Christmas Panel

Multi-Packed Snowmen

Black Christmas Tree

For the project Karen made a set of four (4) placemats, but you could use all the panel and make six (6). We added Heirloom Red by Oasis Fabrics.  Sorry I do not have a picture of the fabric, but it is a good match.

The pattern is simple to make; in fact, you could adapt this pattern to other panels.  The panel is simply framed out and complimentary fabric added to either side.  For the back Karen used the same complimentary fabric she used on the front.  She did some simple quilting around the panel on the border and cross-hatched the sides.

The Panel is $10.99; 1 3/8 yard of Heirloom Red $15.11; 1 3/8 yard Multi packed snowmen $15.11 and 1 3/8 yard Black Christmas Tree $15.11.  Total for the kit is $54.99.  Receive the pattern when you buy the kit.

I had hoped to have a picture of the placemats on your newsletter, but I could not get them to fit, so I shall post them on Facebook on Monday morning after I send your email.

Have a sew - sew week!
